TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Mr Jack Cadogan, MS 4128, Energy Technology, ERDA, 20 Massachusetts Avenue N.W., Washington DC
Date14 October 1977
DescriptionEncloses the introduction to his article. Gold thinks it makes clear what his article is about, and what line of work would need to be planned initially to gain an understanding. The evidance they have collected seems to point to this type of explanation more definitely than is claimed in this introduction.

States he will want to advance this field as quickly as possible now, together with his colleagues Dr Mel Calvin at Berkely and Dr A Kantrowitz at AVCO-Everett, and possibly also Dr G MacDonald at Dartmouth. For this reason Gold would like to arrrange to visit Washington soon to discuss the possible arrangements. Asks Cadogan to let him know when he thinks that a meeting at ERDA would be useful.

Asks him to restrict the distribution of the information in the paper for a little longer, so as to avoid any possible offense to Gold's scientific colleagues.
