TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Carl Sagan, Editor, Icarus, Space Sciences Building, Campus
Date9 December 1977
DescriptionStates this paper is now corrected to leave out the dominant assumption of a lithospheric pressure in the volatiles even when they are in dynamic equilibrium with the atmosphere. What is resurrected of the discussion of the features is then a much weaker story, but no longer obviously incorrect. The paper can be published, but Gold thinks it is one of very moderate value.
