TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Mr N M Newmark, Chairman, President's Medal of Science, National Science Foundation, 1800 G Street, N.W., Washington DC
Date1 March 1977
DescriptionStates he would like to nominate Dr J Van Allen again this year for the National Medal of Science. Asks if Newmark would let him know if he still has and can use the package Gold made up the previous year. If so, perhaps one brief note from him would suffice to add to it and re-activate it.

Gold understands from Dr Fletcher that he also sent in a nomination for Dr Van Allen the previous year. Gold will communicate with him to see whether he also wishes to renew this.
