TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Gordon MacDonald, Mitre Corporation, 1820 Dolly Madison Blvd., McLean, Virginia
Date8 August 1978
DescriptionEncloses Meyerhoff's lists of places, which he thinks they should include in any proposal they prepare.

Concerning the pressure monitoring proposal, thinks an urgent request to DoE would be quicker. Suggests they get together in a hurry now and do it. He will need some money quite soon, as he has not heard form the NSF atmospheric people.

States the Geophysical Institute of Alaska has taken an interest and want to work in this field, Has told them of both their interests, and will keep MacDonald informed of any progress. Gold feels a number of joint efforts would be desirable - cannot see the both of them doing this without co-operation from local institutons, andd also politically it adds strength.
