DescriptionOn an arrangement to have Professor Gordon MacDonald on Campus. Three-year old moves to ask MacDonald to Cornell in order to form a geophysics department should be reopened. Gold feels strongly that the longer Cornell leaves the issue of forming an earth sciences department, the more difficult it will become to form one in the face of competotion from other universities. Requests funds to meet MacDonald's immediate lecturing salary.
