This time he is planning on going to Stanford January, February, and half of March, and he would very much like to come to Cambridge after that - April, May June would be good for him. Could Hoyle make him an offer? Would he be there during that time? He spoke to Martin Rees and mentioned this possibility, and he believes he will be there. He gets on very well with Rees and would very much welcome an opportunity to do some work with him. Altogether the relaxed atmosphere of Hoyle's Center would be good for Gold, He imagines that Churchill would be willing to have him, but he would pursue that after hearing from Hoyle. |
