TitleLetter from [Peter] Jeffrey Mackie, to Dr [Arthur] Keith, Royal College of Surgeons of England, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London
Date6 November 1917
DescriptionRegrets that the Government has seen fit to oppose Mr [John] Roscoe's expedition to Uganda until after the war. Thinks that they might change their decision if the Royal Society could impress on Mr Long, the Chief Clerk or Mr Long, the advantage that would be gained by Roscoe's visit, and that there would be no burden on officials. Suggests that if the £1500 Mackie sent is not needed at once, then they should put it into National Bonds.
