Title | Letter from [James George] Frazer, 1 Brick Court, Temple, London, E.C.4., to William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | September 1919 |
Description | Encloses a letter [CD/51/43] from [John] Roscoe, in which the Royal Society can see that Roscoe is 'delayed, embarrassed, and possibly put to considerable expense because the Governor of East Africa has not received instructions from the Colonial Office to give him passes on the railway and to pass his goods through the custom-house free of duty'. Asks the Royal Society to get the Colonial Office to rectify this situation as soon as possible, and to telegraph to the Governor of British East Africa and the Governor of the Uganda Protectorate. |
