Citation | Professor of Physical Chemistry in the Imperial College of Science and Technology. Secretary of the Chemical Society. Distinguished as a teacher of chemistry, especially in the department of physical chemistry. He rendered important services as Secretary of the Sectional War Committee of the Royal Society, and in research work undertaken for the War Office.
