Citation | Has taken an active part in training entomologists most of whom are now researching independently. Distinguished for his investigations on the biology and morphology of insects. Author of 'A General Textbook of Entomology' (1925). Among the more important papers are:- 'Larval and Pupal Stages of Anopheles' (Journ Hyg 1907; Parasitology, 1908); 'Life History of 'Croce filipennis'' (Trans Linn Soc, 1911); ''Embia major' from the Himalayas' (ibid, 1913); 'Structure and Biology of 'Tachardia lacea'' (Ind Forest Mem, 1915); 'On Chalcid Parasites of Coccidae' (Quart Journ Micros Sci, 1916 and 1918); 'Structure and Biology of 'Archotermopsis'' (Phil Trans, 1919); 'Chemotropic Responses of Insects' (Ann App Biol, 1920); 'Biological Control of Insects in Hawaiian Islands' (ibid, 1926). |
