Author of 'Applied Aerodynamics' (1919). Researches include work on the electric discharge, investigations of isotopes by means of anode rays, and scattering of anode rays by gases. He is especially distinguished for his brilliant experimental discoveries in connection with the diffraction of cathode rays by crystalline matter. |
