| Description | The Havre Athletic Club was founded by a group of Oxford and Cambridge students in 1872. As part of the centenary celebrations the Club invited football and rugby teams from the two universities to play matches there. Thompson was the principal organiser in England and accompanied the teams on their visit to Le Havre. |
