CitationAveling, Francis, M.C. (London). Professor Pssychology, University of London. Has had distinguished University career: Louvain, Ph.L., Ph.D., and Fellowship, all with first class honours; London, D.Sc., Carpenter Medallist, D. Lit., Fellow of King's College. Has been President of the British Psychological Society (1927-1930). Has published several outstanding books, besides over thirty shorter experimental works (including the Presidential Address, Psychologicsl Section, British Association 1933). Has inspired and directed 28 other important researches of his pupils in addition to many minor ones. Numerous pupils now occupy leading positions in different foreign Universities. In consequence, both he personally, and the "school" he may be said to have founded, now enjoy a high international reputation.
