Discoveries in the chemical side of animal nutrition, the results of which have appeared mainly in the 'Journal of Agricultural Science'. Among these are : (1) the composition and digestibility of pasture grass at different stages of growth. This has resulted in the process of 'grass drying' providing home-grown concentrates for production. (2) The mechanism of the breakdown and utilization of cellulose in ruminant digestion. (3) The influence of nutrition on growth and conformation of the bacon pig. (4) Biochemical growth changes in the plant. (5) The nutrition value of animal feeding stuffs.
