DescriptionPrain acknowledges receipt of the Secretary's letter informing him of his election as Fellow of the Royal Society, and the requirement of his attendance for admission. However as the Society's letter first went to Calcutta before reaching Prain, three of the four dates have now lapsed, and the remaining day is on Prain is unable to attend as he will be on his journey back to India. Therefore Prain requests a time extension on his admission.
