Title | Letter from [William Edward] Ayrton, Exhibition Road, London, to [Robert] Harrison, Assistant Secretary and Librarian, Royal Society |
Creator | Ayrton; William Edward (1847 - 1908) |
Date | 6-21 March 1908 |
Description | Discusses a conversation with Dr. Larmor regarding the insertion of plates in a paper. Informs he initially favored folding the plates within the paper but is now amenable to Dr. Larmor's suggestion of printing the three plates on thick india paper and inserting them separately in the relevant sections of the paper. Did not address the issue of a revised version with the plates, assuming it was previously agreed upon.
In a postscript, requests two copies of the Year Book of the Royal Society, specifically asking for a second copy of the 1908 edition to be kept at his house. Includes a memorandum dated 12 March 1908. |
