Hopes that in the future the table may be maintained without any further application for support from the fund at the disposal of the Council of the Royal Society. Informs that the Council of the British Association now has before it a memorial signed by all the leading biologists asking that the table be maintained entirely out of the British Association funds, emphasising his hope that the petition will be successful.
