TitleLetter from Muriel Robertson, Sleeping Sickness Laboratory, Kampala, Uganda, to Mr [Robert] Harrison, [Royal Society]
CreatorRobertson; Muriel (1883 - 1973); Scottish protozoologist and bacteriologist
Date13 April 1913
DescriptionEnquires whether Harrison can arrange to send her a bottle Toluene, a volatile substance and membe rof the Bensene group. Somewhat puzzled as to why she has not received reprints except those of hher first two papers nearly a year ago, stating it will be months before she is due for leave and that she wishes to send them to her usual correspondents. Adds that she never received any word of the last paper she sent from Mpumu in November, forgetting the exact title but recalling that it dealt with the biometric handling of trypanosome belonging to the species T. pecandi, and as it contains the corroboration of the most important point in an earlier sleeping sickness paper, she wishes to know if it ever reacted. Comments on her work fitting with that of Dr Dukes' T. pecandi work and that it was incorporated with his results, now published as the reviews have appeared in the Bulletin.
Requests a copy of the last Sleeping Sickness report of the Royal Society to be sent to her.
