Description | Sending a report on the work done since she last wrote it for the information of the Committee, not for publication in its present form [enclosure not present]. Informs she is leaving for the Masindi District to carry on the T.pecorum work, stating there is a series of conditions to be investigated which promise results, elaborating on potential carriers of the pathogen, which will invlove investigating in the field. Details the general scheme of her work for the next 4 to 5 months, spanning the Masindi District, Barati District, and the Eastern Province. Informs that she is expecting to be on a safari for 4-5 months and shall have about 3 months work to finish up the two branches of reaearch, intending to breed the eggs and inspect young ones, once she has mapped them in nature. Reports she is in excellent health and that she is expecting to return to England in early March 1914. Informs that Captain Kean had kindly undertaken to keep certain trypanosome strains going whilst she is away. |
