TitleLetter from 20 Merton Street, Oxford, to [Edwin Ray] Lankester, [Royal Society]
Creator20 Merton Street, Oxford
Date9 May 1913
DescriptionRefers to Pidduck's paper "on the kinetic energy of an ion in a gas", having noticed it was published in the last number of the Proceedings of the Royal Society. Informs he was under the impression that his paper would have been published after the one which he had previously communicated on "The motion of electrons in gases", as it is a theoretical paper dealing with the results that were found experimentally. States that it is imporssible for anyone to find how Pidduck got his numbers, as it looks as if they were taken froma previous communication. Suggests that the "The motion of electrons in gases" should be published in the next number, with an explanatory footnote.
