Title | Letter from [William] F Fiske, Cranston's Kenilworth Hotel, Great Russell Street, London, W, to The Secretaries, Royal Society |
Creator | Fiske; William (fl 1913); The Under Secretary of State |
Date | 29 August 1913 |
Description | Informs that a letter of today's date enclosing a copy of a letter from the Colonial Office addressed to the Royal Society, relating to the date of his departure from London to Uganda, has been received. States that he has already written to the Colonial Office for this information and also to Sir David Bruce, requesting an interview. Hopes to be able to see Sir John Rose Bradford, to whom he has not written, as he was anxious to secure the benefit of a conference with Sir Bruce before making further plans for the actual investigations. Anxious to do anything possible to famliliarise himself with the conditions under which the investigations are to be conducted, seeking any additional assistance the Royal Society can provide in terms of meeting people interested in them. |
