TitleLetter from Richard [Bertram] Pilcher, Registrar of the Institute of Chemistry, 30 Russell Square, London, to [Francis Alexander] Towle, Assistant Secretary and Librarian of the Royal Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly
Date9 April 1924
Description'Dear Major Towle, With reference to my visit to you last week, I fear that you will think me a very troublesome person, but I am taking you at your word and I am senidng you a list of names of British chemists, many of whom I think were members of the Royal Society, on the chance that you may have any old prints in duplicate or may be able to allow me to have some photographed. I head the list with the royal chemist, Charles II, and give the rest in alphabetical order, although their dates vary from the 17th to 19th Century. Yours faithfully, Richard B Pilcher'.
