TitleLetter from Arthur Schuster, The Royal Society, Burlington House, London, to [James Hopwood] Jeans
CreatorSchuster; Sir; Arthur (1851-1934); British physicist
Date4 November 1924
Description'Dear Jeans, I have received a letter from one of the Secretaries of the French Academy. Apparantly they have a collection of medals given by different bodies as scientific awards: he asks whether we could present the French Academy with replicas, in bronze, of the Rumford, Davy and Darwin medals and offers in exchange copies of any medals awarded by the French Academy of Science. I do not know whether this is possible or desirable: perhaps the Officers could discuss it to-morrow. Yours sincerely, Arthur Schuster'.

Enclosed is a letter from the Secretary of the French Academy to Srthur Schuster, dated 4 December 1924, in French.
