DescriptionEncloses a paper regarding 'a subscription in aid of Dr [James] Croll'. Parker discussed the paper with [Mervyn Herbert Nevil] Story Maskelyne, who suggested Evans may have some influence as Treasurer of the Royal Society, and President of the Geological Society, with members of either Society and bringing the paper to their notice. Parker was introduced to Croll last year and remarks he is deserving of assistance. Enclosed is a typescript paper consisting of four pages, with a list of subscriptions recieved by in manuscript, as well as a 'memorial of James Croll' to the Lords of the Committee of Council on Education, Science and Art Department.
