Description | 'Sir, I am directed to transmit, for the infromation of the Royal Society, the accompanying copy of a letter dated the 6th April which was addressed by this Board to Professor [Geroge Howard] Darwin and Professor [John] Milne, the two British representatives to the International Seismological Congress announced to meet on the 24th July next and following days at Strassburg in Alsace. I am, Sir, Your obedient Servant. F G Ogilvie'.
Enclosed is a copy of a typescript letter from R L Morant to Darwin and Milne, dated 6 April 1903, consisting of one page, informing them of their appointment as British delegates to the International Seisomological Congress, and remarks on the discussion regarding the organisation of a Seisomological Association. |
