Title | Letter from William Huggins, 90 Upper Tulse Hills, to [Robert William Frederick] Harrison |
Creator | Huggins; Sir; William (1824-1910); British astronomer |
Date | 11 January 1903 |
Description | 'Dear Mr Harrison, The four documents enclosed should be in your keeping [enclosures not present]. Re Secchi. I pointed out to Sir Michael that the last paragraph of the Italian seemed to me to suggest that the Celebration was got up by the Papal party for their own purposes. He wrote to Mosso of Turin to know what the A. dei Lincei would do. If an answer has come will you let me know what view he takes of the Celebration. He may have written privately to Sir Michael; in this case will you ask him as soon as he returns. The Astronomical S. is waiting for the information to determine their action. Yours sincerely, William Huggins.' |
