Description | Has heard that Davies has returned [to London]. Sir William [James] Larke, regrets that neither he, industry nor the Government Departments has a clear idea of what the R[oyal] S[ociety] did or could do. Lyons thinks this the case but the remedy not clear. Larke has not seen 'Notes and Records'. Lyons will have the four published issues sent and then they will speak again. Larke approves this idea and would push the 'Notes' among his friends if suitable. Dr [W H] Hatfield's forthcoming paper should suit Larke exactly. Provides Larke's address. |
