Title | Copy letter from unknown correspondent to Sir Henry George Lyons |
Date | 13 August 1939 |
Description | Correspondent sends thanks for the amended note on 'The Record' for inclusion in the next 'Notes and Records'. Recently visited the Society's Apartments and all is running smoothly. Believes the tea room will look 'shabby' compared to the newly decorated meeting room and has asked Sims and Sims to tender for repainting. Thinks they ought to consider a re-hang of the meeting room portraits; Lely's portrait of Charles II could replace Newton behind the President's Chair. Author shall shortly return to Cardiganshire to welcome the newly formed London Welsh Regiment. |
