Title | Letter from Henry George Lyons to John David Griffith Davies, The Old Cottage, Shackleford, Godalming |
Date | 6 September 1939 |
Description | Lyons thanks Davies for his letter of 4 September. If more of the more valuable part of their library can be placed in safety this should be done. The suggestion of usefully employing Mr Robinson and Miss Carruthers on the Newton correspondence at Aberystwyth is also good. This may be of great help later in publishing the Newton letters. It will be convenient for Davies to have Sir A[lfred] Seward at hand in Cambridge. Lyons mentions a charge from Customs and can undertake proof correcting and account matters [at Godalming]. |
