Title | Letter from H H Keen to Sir Henry George Lyons, W B Keen & Company, 23 Queen Street, London, E.C.4. |
Date | 29 March 1939 |
Description | Keen discusses Lyon's draft report concerning the accounts of The Royal Society. It was unusual for Keen's father to attend the Society except for the annual audit or when a problem arose, though he was quite often consulted by the Assistant Secretary. Keen's father was never given instructions specifically limiting the scope of his work on the lines Mr Towle has apparently mentioned to Lyons. In the earlier days of the Society there were relatively few ocassions on which it was necessary for the Treasurer to consult their firm specially. Lyons may modify his report a little in light of the above and returns the draft herewith [not attached]. |
