Title | Letter from Walter B Cannon, Harvard Medical School, Boston, to Henry Dale, National Institute for Medical Research, Hampstead, London |
Date | 6 May 1942 |
Description | Has agreed to prepare the biographical memoir of Henderson, which he is finding difficult due to Henderson's wide range of interests - asks for information on his service as Foreign Secretary of the National Academy. Would also like to continue promoting relations between the Academy and the Royal Society as he has been elected in Henderson's place. Comments on the war, which 'does not go forward cheeringly for us', but feels the alternative is so intolerable that 'the combined strength of the United Nations I feel sure must prevail'. |
