DescriptionUpdates the Secretary of the Treasury of the decisions of the 'Challenger' Committee regarding Mr. [John] Murray. States the following decisions; that the number of authors working on the project be limited to 12, that new memoir be allocated resources, other than already sanctioned by the treasury, no further steps taken to distribute the material other than already present; no engagement are to take place which will change the estimates already in place; Mr. Murray is to submit a report on a quarterly basis on the work done to the Committee and the same for the end of the financial year. The first report should be requested once Murray returns from the Faroe channel. [See MS/427/228]
