Papers and press cuttings collected by Frith, mostly popular press coverage with a few acadmic article reprints. Articles concern autism, dyslexia, disability and child development and research being carried out in these areas. Some of the articles mention Uta Frith's own work or quote/reference her, some do not. These are not papers or articles written by Frith
Notes on studies and designs for experiments. Most notes relate to work conducted by Frith with autistic individuals, concerning: language acquisition and use, social skills, mental imagery and idea of the self, intelligence in autistic children, recognition memory, pattern recognition, spatial orientation, intutition, obsessive compulsive phenomena. Also notes on a dyslexia study.
Collection also includes an academic dress hood worn by Uta Frith FRS when awarded her honorary doctorate of science by University of Lincoln, 10 September 2018 at Lincoln Cathedral. Red cotton hood with blue piping. Accompanied by ticket recording name, date and university. |
