Description | A collection of magic squares, with associated notes and a printed 'Explanation of the magical square of sixteen'. The mathematical puzzles range from nine numbers arranged to add equally in each row, to squares of 256 numbers. These include squares taken from printed sources, including by Benjamin Franklin.
The latest copied printed source is from 1771. The manuscript may therefore be compiled by Taylor White [as is the family tradition] but may well be later in date and therefore a descendant. |
