Title | Letter from Charles Algernon Parsons, Ray, Kirkwelpington, Northumberland, to [Dugald] Clerk |
Date | 23 June 1915 |
Description | Thanks Clerk for his letter and agrees it is red tape not Jackson himself that is the problem. Nevertheless, he and the whole country wishes that Fisher was back. Things will be ready in about a fortnight. The whole apparatus shall be tested in the up-ended boiler. Whatever Jackson says, Parsons intends to put 50 in hand once the thing is tested to their liking: 'it ought to be put into operation without delay'. |
