Description | Asks Kempe to look over the enclosed rough draft [not present] of the minutes of the last meeting of the Joint Committee. Sir Clements [Markham] usually revises the minutes but he was not present at the time. Longhurst fears Sir Archibald Geikie will not understand the minutes of the meeting before last, and so asks Kempe to explain them to him if he objects to them. Longhurst also notes that he has forwarded Kempe's letter to Sir Vessy Hamilton. With a short postscript concerning the 'Paragraphs' agreed at the meeting, with an enclosed copy containing alterations [not present]. |
