TitleLetter from William Napier Shaw, Meteorological Office, 63 Victoria Street, London, to Sir Archibald [Geikie], Royal Society, Burlington House, London
Date7 April 1908
DescriptionConcerns prospect of publishing additional material gathered from the Discovery Expedition. Shaw suggests that the maps be reproduced, and roughly estimates how much this might cost. Technical details of publishing the work are discussed. Shaw also asserts that the publication of the autographic records need not be discussed, as it could appear in any number of scientific journals. He states the Geographical Society could also be offered the 'balance' instead of the publication of the results of the expedition, if they would prefer, and that they could deal with the material in any way they saw fit.
