Description | File of handwritten letters from JS Haldane FRS to GCC Damant of the Royal Navy. The letters refer to experiments carried out by Haldane and Damant about the effects of decompression in deep sea diving. The results of the experiments were used in the creation of decompression tables.
Also included is a fragment of a letter from AE Boycott FRS to Damant, about Haldane. The letter comments on one of Haldane's books, and closes with some thoughts on 'the nature of existence [...] after death'. A studio photographic portrait of Boycott is included. |
