TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date3 October 1894
DescriptionDr [H W] Pomfret's paper received 3 March 1893, is just back from the author's second revision. Asks if it is necessary to send it again to the referees and if not, whether they are to proceed with it or wait until the formal vote of the Committee of Papers.

Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] is away from home and has given the Society no address. Mr Tutton writes for leave to publish a German translation of his two papers in the 'Zeitschrift fur Krystallographie'. These papers are recommended for the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and are awaiting the formal vote of the Committee of Papers. Asks what answer he should give Tutton.

A long letter has arrived from Mr [William Turner] Thiselton-Dyer relating to the Kew Observatory.
