TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date29 January 1895
DescriptionRix has searched for Mr Dyer's letter about the Misses Berkeley's [for the Scientific Relief Committee]. Rix notes this is not however his business but the President's. Rix has Sir George Stokes' application in this very case now before him.

Regarding Blackman's paper there is nothing whatever on Lord Rayleigh's [John William Strutt's] minutes or in the referee's reports to show that this was to be revised. Rix has stopped the press and awaits Foster or Rayleigh's instruction. Foster passed Collings' estimate for the figures last Thursday.

Dr Murray returned to Edinburgh on Saturday and will not 'be up' again for a long while so Rix has not sent Foster's letter and returns it herewith [not attached].
