Title | Copy letter from an unknown correspondent, to Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker, Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Osbert Salvin, and Sir William Henry Flower, Fellows of the Royal Society |
Date | 26 June 1895 |
Description | The enclosed is a list [not attached] of what has been agreed upon corrected since by Dr J Murray's advice, and according to information received. The list contains 56 names leaving two vacancies.
The three institutions which seem to be most pressing are the Paris École Supérieure des Mines, and the Edinburgh Royal Geographical Society and University of Colorado.
If they can agree on two of these and if they approve of the rough draft report they need not meet again. If they must meet asks if they are free 4 July at 11am.
As a postscript four institutions are noted where there is a copy. Murray advises withdrawing the Falkland Islands and substituting the Bahamas. They have no reply yet from the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris. |
