TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Turner Thiselton-Dyer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date3 October 1895
DescriptionThe Treasurer [John Evans] telegraphed last night to accept Dyer's kind offer to attend Pasteur's funeral next Saturday as a representative of the Royal Society. Rix will see that a letter is sent by today's post to the proper person informing him that Dyer will also attend as a representative of the Society. As a postscript Rix notes he has just heard from the French Embassy that they will by today's dispatches inform the Service des Protocoles, Ministère des Affaires étrangères, that Dyer will arrive to represent the Royal Society.
