DescriptionRix was sorry not to see Foster at the Society today and lists items of business requiring Foster's attention: the list of papers ought to have been settled for the advertisement and authors notices; the Council Agenda ought to have been settled; asks Foster to finish his classification of candidates; asks what time the Council is to meet on the 25th; explains that it is only at the Ladies Soiree that members of the Committee may nominate visitors and has told Mr [William Turner Thiselton-]Dyer to answer the enclosed [not attached]; Rix did not know how to answer [Ernest William] MacBride's letter herewith enclosed [not attached]; discusses Victor Horsley's postponed paper; discusses the reading of papers by Dr Clowes and Dr Fraser who are both on the list of papers; discusses the reduction of the estimate for [Harry] Marshall Ward's figures and has told Collings to proceed despite not having Foster's approval.
