Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to the Secretary, Foreign Office |
Date | 19 June 1896 |
Description | Foster is directed to ask the Secretary's aid in the following matter concerning the approaching Internal Conference on Scientific Literature. All the Governments have nominated delegates with the exception of Germany and Norway. The Society has reason to think that the nomination of delegates from Germany will take place immediately but an uncertainty exists still with regard to Norway, although a letter dated 19th February 1896 expresses their intention to take part in the Conference.
Foster asks the Secretary to make known to the Norwegian Government, the desirability of the Norwegian delegate or delegates being appointed as soon as possible in order that the Royal Society may place itself in communication with them. |
