TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edward Albert Sharpey-Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date23 June 1896
DescriptionIn continuation of Harrison's letter of last night, Harrison has seen the Secretaries who tell him that [Augustus Desire] Waller's paper was passed by the Council subject to his accepting the amendments recommended by Schafer's Committee. As it was the last meeting but one, they settled the matter in this way rather than delay it, although strictly speaking their decisions ought to be unconditional. Dr [Michael] Foster thinks the best course would be for Schafer to see Waller. If Schafer is willing to do this Harrison will send a copy of the extract from the report which Schafer has marked.

Annotated that Foster agrees to Sir W Turner as a referee for Heape's paper and Harrison is to write to Turner to ask him to act.
