| Description | Harrison had been in hopes of seeing Rayleigh everyday this week but is compelled to send some matters due to the press of time. Soirée matters are pressing and Harrison will be glad to have instructions upon them as soon as possible.
The proposal form Mr Ward is an extension for the next Soirée of his exhibit in May, but the use of the meeting room for demonstrations is limited and must depend upon arrangements with other exhibitors who have already been invited to give demonstrations there.
With regards to Mr Bottomley's letter, there are already several Rontgen [x-ray] ray exhibitions arranged for, but if these are only photographs it ought not be too difficult to find room.
The model hydraulic engine offered by Mr Rigg looks as if it might be rather bulky.
The estimate from Collings is for [James] Dewar and [John Ambrose] Fleming's most recent paper.
The writer of the inclosed German letter has had an invitation for the Soirée at Dr Johnstone Stoney's suggestion. [No attachments]. |
