Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Saul Samuel, Agent General for New South Wales, 9 Victoria Street, S.W. |
Date | 21 July 1896 |
Description | Harrison acknowledges Samuel's letter of yesterday relating to the telegram from Sydney concerning the Coral Reef Expedition, which Harrison will communicate to Dr [Michael] Foster. Harrison has seen Admiral Wharton on the subject and he informed him that the 'Penguin' already has orders to remain in attendance on the expedition so long as she is wanted, so that no orders for extension of time are necessary. The difficulties referred to probably mean money difficulties due to delay caused by some breakdown of the boring apparatus. |
