TitleCopy letter from Theodore E James, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date1 September 1896
DescriptionJames sends a letter from [William Turner Thiselton-]Dyer with enclosures [not attached], in case he wishes to take action there upon. Sir W Hutchinson does not know of the Royal Society Committee, as in a letter to Mr Chamberlain dated 11 July, he says that he this morning received Chamberlain's telegram informing him that a Committee of the Royal Society has been appointed.

James has the 'Challenger' list in hand, received from Mr [Osbert] Salvin. It must be read with the old list to see if there are duplicate entries. James will then write about it and send a letter received from Mr Dyer which he does not think Foster has seen.
