Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Charles Thomas Heycock, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 October 1896 |
Description | With reference to Heycock's letter of the 25th September, which Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] has handed him, Harrison thinks that the scale on which it is contemplated to reproduce the curves for Heycock's paper will just accord with Heycock's wish that the copper-tin curve should occupy the full page of the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]'.
Asks if he is to understand that Heycock proposes reducing the curves himself. If so Harrison asks to know at once as he had contemplated having them reduced by the Society' engraver. It might be more satisfactory, if Heycock is prepared, to have the reduction plotted himself, in which case Harrison will let him know the scale which the publication admits of for the various plates. |
