TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date25 November 1896
DescriptionHarrison availed himself of the latitude Foster gave him and varied Foster's numbering of the minutes only as far as the medals are concerned as he finds that each medal award has been indexed separately in the minutes index. He thinks it is a good principle to give a separate number to every minute that is indexed and to index by the numbers and dates.

When Foster and Harrison last met Foster said the President [Sir Joseph Lister] and he had it in hand to communicate with the people whom they want to speak at the [Anniversary] Dinner, but when Harrison saw the President yesterday he said he know nothing of it. Harrison only mentions this as time is getting short and he understands it is not unusual for people to object to speaking.
